Journey of the Drum 

Chris Thompson is a talented dancer, drummer, and choreographer whose work celebrates the rich traditions of the West African Diaspora. He has taught dance and drumming through NC and beyond. Chris teaches at Teacher for NC Arts in Action Raleigh NC, while also offering workshops and classes. He attended Olympic High School, Renaissance School, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Through his program, Journey of the Drum, Chris brings together movement, rhythm, and cultural storytelling to create powerful experiences rooted in African Diasporic dance and drumming traditions.
