Jump Into Creativity: Grassroots Arts Grant Applications Now Open!

Hey everyone! We’re excited to share that the Lee County Arts Council is now taking applications for the North Carolina Arts Council’s Grassroots Arts Program subgrants. If you’re part of a local nonprofit that brings arts and culture to our community, this is for you—just be sure to get your application in by Friday, August 29, 2025.

What’s the Grassroots Arts Program?

It’s been around since 1977, helping counties all over North Carolina support local arts. Lee County Arts Council partners with the state to offer these funds right here at home. We especially welcome applications from theaters, galleries, choral groups, festivals, arts-in-education programs, or any community organization putting on arts activities in Lee County.

Key Dates & Details:

• Project window: July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 (your event or program must fall within this timeframe)

• Application deadline: August 29, 2025

• Where to apply: Head to leecountyartscouncil.org to download forms and guidelines

A friendly reminder: a diverse panel of community members reviews every application, and award announcements go out in the Fall, usually October.
